EPIZOTAN FBC is a replacement syntan for the production of white leather.

 

Application

EPIZOTAN FBC has a wide field of application both as a tanning agent for white leathers and as a bleaching agent for chrome and vegetable tanned leathers.

EPIZOTAN FBC gives good results in the retannage of chrome tanned leathers, which will retain a very fine grain and a soft feel. Due to its excellent light fastness it is particularly suitable for the production of white leathers.

In the retannage of leathers to be dry milled EPIZOTAN FBC gives a regular and fine pattern.

INDICATIONS OF QUANTITIES FOR SPECIFIC USES
Reptiles 20-30%. Based on limed weight
white tannage of bovine hides 25-35%. Based on limed weight
white chrome tanned leathers 6 - 12%. Based on shaved weight
chrome leathers in combination with vegetable tannins 1 - 3 %. Based on shaved weight

EPIZOTAN FBC is light fast but sensitive to iron salts. The necessary precautions must therefore be taken to prevent the formation of stains and shadings. Moreover the product is hygroscopic: we recommend to store it in a dry place and to properly close the bags after each product drawing.
